Fix a failed Billy subscription payment

What to do when Billy tells you in Slack or Microsoft Teams that a subscription renewal payment failed, so your plan stays active and no birthday is missed.

When a renewal payment for Billy, the BuddiesHR birthday bot, fails, Billy admins get an email and a message from Billy in Slack or Microsoft Teams: "[URGENT] - There was an error with Billy's subscription renewal payment." Fix it quickly so your subscription isn't canceled and no birthday is missed.

In Billy's message (or the email), click "Here is the link." It opens the unpaid Stripe invoice.

Step 2: Update your payment method#

Follow the Stripe page to pay with a working card. You can also update the card later from the billing portal.
