Linky
Linky is the BuddiesHR org chart and employee directory app for Slack. Build your org chart from Slack members and find anyone in seconds with /whois.
Linky, the BuddiesHR org chart app for Slack, turns your Slack workspace into a visual org chart and a directory of rich profiles. Admins build the chart in the BuddiesHR web dashboard (dashboard.buddieshr.com), and everyone can browse it, update their own profile and look colleagues up with /whois in Slack. Start with the get started guide.
What Linky does#
- A visual org chart: place each person under their manager, split your company into several charts, reorder people, collapse teams and switch branches to a vertical layout.
- Rich profiles: choose the fields everyone has (job title, department, phone, start date, your own fields) and which ones employees fill in themselves.
- Synced with Slack: names, job titles, pictures, emails, phone numbers and start dates can update from Slack on their own.
- Departments: color-coded departments that people inherit from their manager, with a filter on the chart.
- Find anyone fast: search the chart by name, share a link to someone's spot, or type
/whois @nameanywhere in Slack. - Export: download the chart as a PNG image.
- Keeps itself tidy: admins get a Slack message when people join or leave the workspace, and can remind people to complete their profile.
Linky works with Slack only. It isn't available in Microsoft Teams.
