Alfy
Alfy pairs coworkers for random coffee chats in Slack or Microsoft Teams, on your schedule, so your team actually gets to know each other.
Alfy, the BuddiesHR random coffee app, regularly matches coworkers for a quick coffee chat in Slack or Microsoft Teams. Admins set up programs from the Alfy web dashboard, and everyone else takes part right from their chat app. Get started with the Slack install guide or the Microsoft Teams install guide.
What Alfy does#
- Slack and Microsoft Teams: Alfy works in both. In Slack it can post in a channel and open a group DM for each match. In Teams it posts in the channel or group chat.
- Channel-based programs: people take part by being in the program's channel. Join the channel to join the program.
- Group size: pairs, or groups of 3, 4 or 5 people.
- Flexible schedules: every week, every 2 to 12 weeks, monthly, quarterly or a custom schedule, at the time and timezone you pick. See choose how often a program runs.
- Scheduling assistant: Alfy suggests time slots, lets people vote and checks Google Calendar or Outlook Calendar when it's connected.
- Conversation starters: ice-breaker questions, with a built-in list that admins can customize.
- Smart random matching: Alfy avoids repeat matches and can mix people from several channels. See how Alfy matches people.
- Flexible participation: people can snooze or opt out, admins can exclude people, and Alfy can skip anyone who's out of office.
- Rounds dashboard: review and edit the groups of the next round in the 24 hours before it starts, and look back at past rounds.
Plans#
Alfy is free for teams under 10 people, and larger teams get a 30-day free trial. See Alfy's free plan and trial and BuddiesHR pricing.
