Palmy
Palmy is the BuddiesHR time-off tracker for Slack. Request and approve leave in Slack, track balances and quotas, and sync a shared team calendar.
Palmy, the BuddiesHR time-off tracker for Slack, handles time off requests, approvals and balances. People request time off with /palmy, the approver they pick decides in one click, and admins manage policies in the BuddiesHR web dashboard. Start with the get started guide.
What Palmy does#
- Request time off in Slack or on the web: pick a leave type, the dates and an approver. Palmy counts the weekdays for you.
- One-click approvals: the approver gets a DM with
ApproveandReject, and a reminder after 72 hours. - Leave types and quotas: six leave types to start with, and quotas that add days every month or every year.
- Balances at a glance: everyone sees what they have left in Palmy's Home tab.
- Slack status: with status auto-sync on, Palmy sets the status of people on leave, and Slack clears it when they're back.
- Daily announcements: a post in a channel of your choice, every day, listing who's on leave.
- Shared calendar: approved time off syncs to a Google or Outlook calendar.
- Excel export: download every request for payroll or reporting.
Palmy runs in Slack and in the web dashboard at dashboard.buddieshr.com. It isn't available in Microsoft Teams.
