Clappy is the BuddiesHR kudos app for Slack. Everyone thanks coworkers with claps tied to company values, with rewards, leaderboards and insights.
Clappy, the BuddiesHR kudos and peer recognition app for Slack, lets everyone thank coworkers with claps (👏) tied to your company values, with rewards and leaderboards on top. People give kudos in Slack, and everything else lives in the BuddiesHR web dashboard too. Clappy isn't available in Microsoft Teams. Watch the walkthrough below or follow the install guide, then understand how Clappy works.
What Clappy does#
- Kudos with /clap: give claps to one or more coworkers, with a message, company values and a GIF, in public or in private. You can also give kudos from the web dashboard.
- A claps allowance: everyone gets the same number of claps to give, 5 per week by default. Admins can switch to a daily or monthly allowance.
- Clap this too: add your claps to someone else's public recognition in one click.
- Company values: tag each recognition with the values it shows.
- Rewards: people spend the claps they've received on rewards you define, and reviewers approve or reject each claim.
- Appreciation Day: a recurring day with kickoff, midday and recap posts in your channel, plus an optional reminder by direct message.
- Leaderboards and levels: weekly or monthly rankings, plus 10 levels with downloadable certificates.
- Insights dashboard: value usage, top givers and receivers, activity charts, employee profiles and Excel exports, with department filters from Linky.
- Notifications your way: everyone chooses which Clappy messages they get, in Slack or by email.
