Slack is disconnected from Linky

If Linky, the BuddiesHR org chart app, was removed from your Slack workspace, Linky admins see "Slack is no longer connected to Linky Directory. Reinstall it to restore notifications and syncing." on the dashboard. Your chart is still there, but Linky can't sync profiles or send messages in Slack.

What stops working#

• Profile sync with Slack, and new Slack members showing up in the list of people to place.
• Change notifications: the switch is greyed out.
• Profile completion reminders: Notify users is greyed out, with "Slack isn't connected" next to it.
• Manage guest users in the Settings tab.
• /whois and Linky's Home tab in Slack.

Reconnect Slack#

The banner only shows to Linky admins and BuddiesHR workspace admins. Click Reinstall Slack in the banner. Check that the right workspace is selected, then click Allow in Slack.

Once Slack is reconnected, the banner disappears and syncing starts again.
