Show the Clappy leaderboard to everyone

Clappy's leaderboard ranks people by the claps they give and receive, and adds some friendly competition. Clappy admins always see it. Whether everyone else sees it is one setting, in the Settings tab of the BuddiesHR web dashboard.

Show the leaderboard to everyone#

In Clappy's admin settings, find the Leaderboard card and turn on Show the leaderboard to everyone. The change is saved as soon as you flip the switch.

Turn it off to hide the leaderboard from members. Admins can still see it.

Where people see the leaderboard#

With the setting on, everyone sees a 🏆 Leaderboard:

• On Clappy's Home tab in Slack: the top 10 for This month by default. People can switch to This week, Last week or Last month, and filter by department (if your departments come from Linky) or by company value.
• On the Home tab of their personal dashboard: the same ranking, with a period and a company value filter.

How the ranking works#

• Score = claps given + claps received during the period. Claps given count once per recipient: 3 claps to 4 people count 12 for the giver. Ties go to the person who received more.
• Private recognitions count too.
• Extra claps from an admin count for the people who received them, never for a giver.
• Someone needs at least 1 clap given or received in the period to be ranked.
• Weeks start on Monday, and every period follows your company timezone.
