Launching Palmy, the BuddiesHR time-off tracker for Slack, takes three steps: install it, set up your time off policy in the web dashboard, and let your team request time off.

Step 1: Install Palmy#

Go to the Get started page and click Add to Slack on the Palmy card. Check that the right workspace is selected, then click Allow. You land on Setup Palmy, where you choose who uses Palmy, where daily announcements go and whether to send a welcome message. See install Palmy and finish the setup.

Step 2: Match your time off policy#

Everything is managed by admins in the BuddiesHR web dashboard. Open it with Open dashboard ↗ in Palmy's Home tab, then:

Step 3: You're all set#

Your team can now request time off with /palmy in Slack or from the web dashboard. Approvers approve or reject requests in one click, and with status auto-sync on, Palmy sets people's Slack status while they're away.
