Include Slack guests in Palmy time off

Let single-channel and multi-channel guests in your Slack workspace request and track time off with Palmy, with one switch in the dashboard settings.

SlackUpdated Oct 26, 20261 min read

By default, Palmy, the BuddiesHR time-off tracker for Slack, leaves Slack guests out. A Palmy admin can include them, so contractors and other guests can request time off and show up in the team's absences like members.

Step 1: Open Manage guest users#

In the web dashboard, open Palmy in Admin mode and go to the Settings tab. Click Manage guest users, next to Manage admins. The button only shows while Slack is connected.

Step 2: Turn guests on#

In the Manage guest users window, turn on the switch next to your Slack workspace. The change is saved straight away ("Settings updated"). Click Done to close the window.

Single-channel and multi-channel guests can then use Palmy like members. To decide who can request time off, see who can use Palmy.
