Is Stany free? Stany's free plan, trial and seats

Stany, the BuddiesHR async standup bot for Slack, is free while fewer than 10 people take part in your standups. From 10 participants, a 30-day free trial starts, and when it ends, standups stop until an admin subscribes. For prices and plans, see Pricing, free plan and trial.

How seats are counted#

A seat is one person who takes part in at least one standup. Someone in three standups counts once. Admins who don't take part in any standup don't count.

To change who takes part, see Choose who takes part in a standup.

When the free trial starts#

The 30-day trial starts automatically the first time your standups reach 10 participants. You don't need a credit card.

During the trial, admins see the days remaining:

• on the web dashboard: "You are currently on a free trial." with the number of days left,
• at the top of Stany's Slack Home tab: "⏳ N days remaining in your free trial."

When the trial ends#

If you haven't subscribed, Stany stops running your standups: no channel posts, no direct messages and no reminders. Your settings and history are kept.

Admins see "Your free trial has expired" on the web dashboard and on Stany's Slack Home tab. Other people see "Your free trial has expired. Contact an admin to upgrade the app." on the dashboard.

Subscribe#

As an admin, click View upgrade options on the web dashboard banner, or 💳 Subscribe on Stany's Slack Home tab.

To cancel later, see Uninstall an app or cancel your subscription.
