Yes, BuddiesHR is free forever for teams under 10 users, in Slack and Microsoft Teams. From 10 users, each BuddiesHR app starts a 30-day free trial, then costs $1 per user per month for one app, or $2 per user per month for all culture apps with the Culture OS plan (billed yearly).
Free forever under 10 users#
Every BuddiesHR app (Alfy, Billy, Clappy, Pulsy, Linky, Palmy, Stany and SimplePerf) is free, with no time limit and no credit card, while fewer than 10 people use it.
Each app counts its own users, usually the people it serves, such as the members of its channels. The exact rule is on each app's page:
The 30-day free trial#
- The trial starts automatically when an app reaches 10 users, either at install or later as people join. No credit card is needed.
- If the app drops back under 10 users, the trial is cleared and the app is free again.
- Apps already covered by a paid plan skip the trial.
- Admins see the days left in the app.
- When the trial ends, the app's main features stop until an admin subscribes. Your settings are kept.

How billing works#
- Per user: you pay for the users each app counts, not for every account in your workspace. The number of seats follows your team automatically when people join or leave.
- Monthly or yearly: yearly billing lowers the price per user.
- Stripe Checkout: admins pay by card through Stripe and can add a company tax ID. Tax is added at checkout where it applies.
How to subscribe#
An app admin subscribes from inside the app, using the subscribe button in the trial banner. For step-by-step instructions, see for example subscribe to Billy.

Can I cancel anytime?#
Yes. There's no long-term contract. See uninstall an app or cancel your subscription.
Does it cost more on Microsoft Teams?#
No. Prices are the same in Slack and Microsoft Teams. Today, Alfy and Billy are available in Microsoft Teams, and the other apps are rolling out.
