Edit an Alfy round's groups before it starts

In the 24 hours before an Alfy round starts, Alfy admins can open the round in the web dashboard, review its groups and change them: redraw everything, or move, snooze or exclude one person. Alfy then uses the edited groups when the round starts.

Step 1: Open the upcoming round#

Open the web dashboard, switch to Admin and open the Rounds tab. On the round tagged Future Round, click View details. Alfy draws the round's groups when you open it.

Step 2: Change the groups#

The Round details page lists the groups under List of groups. You have two options.

Option 1: Redraw all groups#

Click Redraw Groups, then Redraw. Alfy draws new groups and saves them right away, still avoiding repeat matches.

Option 2: Change one person's group#

Click Update someone's group, or click a person in the list. In the Edit someone's connection window, pick the person under Select person to move, then choose a tab:

• Edit group: under Select a group, pick another group, or + Create a new group.
• Snooze: pick a date under Snooze until. The person is left out of this program until then.
• Exclude: the person is excluded from this program for all future rounds. To undo it, edit the program's exclusions in the web dashboard.

Click Confirm. Changed groups are tagged Edited.

Step 3: Save your changes#

An Unpublished updates banner appears at the top of the page. Click Save as new round to keep your changes, or Discard changes to drop them. Every group needs at least 2 people before you can save.

Who is left out#

At the bottom of the page, a collapsible section lists the people left out of the round: excluded, opted out, snoozed and out of office.
