Troubleshoot common Alfy errors
Fix the channel errors Alfy reports in Slack or Microsoft Teams when it can't post a round in a channel or can't use a channel in a program.

Alfy can't post a round in a channel#
When Alfy can't post a round, Alfy admins get a message from Alfy starting with "⚠️ Alfy tried to post a notification in", followed by the channel name and the reason. Click ⚙️ Notification Settings to open the program.

| The bot is not in the channel | In Slack, type /invite @Alfy in the channel. For public channels, Alfy first tries to rejoin on its own. |
| The channel was not found | Update the program with another channel. |
| The channel has been archived | Unarchive it, or update the program with another channel. |
| Posting there is restricted | Allow Alfy to post in the channel, or pick another announcement channel. |
Alfy can't save a program because of a channel#
When you create or edit a program, the error names the channel.
- Private Slack channel: Alfy hasn't been added to it. Type
/invite @Alfyin the channel and save again. - Archived channel: pick another channel.
- Microsoft Teams: the channel or group chat needs Alfy. Add the Alfy app to it in Teams, then save again.
Buttons in the dashboard are greyed out#
If Slack or Teams was disconnected from Alfy, actions show "The chat integration is disconnected." See reconnect Slack to Alfy.
